Extended Access – Appointments Outside of Practice Hours
Extra appointments are being provided in the evening and at weekends across Doncaster. The service is an extension of your GP practice and offers routine and same day appointments with a range of clinicians including GPs, Nurses and other Healthcare Professionals.
When using the service, you may not see your usual doctor, but we do employ clinicians from local practices where possible.
With your consent, our clinicians will be able to access your healthcare record to ensure they can offer the right treatment for you, and prescribe medication or refer you for further treatment if necessary.

We can book you an appointment out of practice hours at a weekend or evening from reception – ask for further details.
From 1st February 2022 the practice will no longer accept requests for medication verbally. Please use the other options available. Online services is highly recommended.

Brainwave helps children living with disabilities and additional needs to achieve greater independence. The children have a range of diagnoses: autism, cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome, developmental delay and rare genetic disorders.
Brainwave runs children’s therapy centres and clinics across the UK. There are currently five locations and Brainwave aspires to add further locations in future. There are 500+ children on the Brainwave programme, and we have capacity for 750 at present. We have identified the East Midlands and Yorkshire as being underserved, hence our desire to increase awareness in the area.
The Charity is holding a free event for parents and children taking place in Doncaster, South Yorkshire on Tuesday, 26th July 2016 (2-3pm) at the Doncaster School for the Deaf. The purpose of the event is to discuss the Brainwave programme, and for families to have an opportunity to consider joining.
The Brainwave programme is an enhancement to the standard medical provision. What is special about the programme is that the home-based therapy sessions are tailored to each individual child. In addition, the assessments are comprehensive and across a range of mainstream disciplines. The initial assessment, for example, takes two days. Reassessments take one full day. Each time a child is reassessed, the therapy programme is updated to build upon their achievements to date. The range of expertise Brainwave provides includes:
- Speech & Language Therapy
- Paediatric Physiotherapy
- Occupational Therapy
- Educational Therapy
- Sensory Integration
- Hydrotherapy
