Appointments

We run all our surgeries by an appointment only system. Appointments can be booked by telephoning the surgery up to 2 weeks before or on the day you wish to be seen.

We try to make sure you see the doctor of your choice but if they are not available we may ask you to see another doctor.

If more than one member of your family wishes to see the doctor please ensure that you book a separate appointment for each person.

If you feel that you need an appointment urgently please tell the receptionist who will book you in with the duty doctor.

When requesting an appointment please help us by:

  • Being flexible when accepting appointment days and times.
  • Informing the surgery as soon as possible if you are unable to keep an appointment or no longer need it in order that it may be given to another patient.
  • Being patient if the doctor is delayed – sometimes emergencies occur during surgery time.
  • Understand that the reception staff are only carrying out the Doctors instructions regarding appointment times and availability.

Medical Education

We are a teaching practice and teach medical students and sometimes you may be asked to see the doctor or nurse with a student present. You will always be asked beforehand if this is acceptable and you may ask for the student to withdraw if you prefer to have your consultation in private.
